Welcome to Nirjhara
Nirjhara (Sanskrit for waterfall) was designed from the start on sustainable principles. Its 25 villas, made from reclaimed hevea wood and local stone, step down through the jungle to a waterfall below the main pool.
Seven villa categories run from the 60 m² Canopy Suite, a treehouse with a private rooftop deck over the rice paddies, to the 600 m² Residence with its 13 m infinity pool. Most come with a private pool and river or jungle views, and rates include breakfast.
Ambu, the restaurant, cooks farm-to-table from the organic garden and nearby villages. The Retreat has four treatment rooms, two Finnish saunas and a yoga deck, and there is a cinema, a library and a boutique of Indonesian designers. All drinking water is filtered and bottled on-site, and single-use plastic is banned across the villas and guest areas.
In the rice fields of Kedungu, 20 minutes from Canggu and a short drive from the Tanah Lot sea temple. The resort sits inland from the coast, circled by forest, beside the river and its cascades, with Kedungu's surf breaks within reach.
