Who we are
We started Positive Escapes because we love to travel — and because we wanted a list we'd actually trust ourselves. Somewhere the research is done, the claims are checked, and every recommendation means something. We only feature places that are both beautiful and responsible.
How we select
We review each stay through nine criteria — wildlife, community, energy, water, food, waste, transport, materials, and transparency — which map to the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. We focus on what's publicly documented, and when something doesn't add up, we don't include it.
